and then it dawns on you
I forgot to go after lunch and check if my English teacher found my narrative. The rough draft (which is a typed copy of something that is pretty much done) is due tomorrow and I obviously don't have the first writing it with me. We were actually SUPPOSED to have it over the weekend or something crazy like that, but... I didn't get mine back... The one other girl who did it and speaks to me every now and then didn't get it on Friday, either. I hope the other two people whos papers she lost forgot to go, too. Then, maybe she'd be more lenient? X.X I don't want them to fail at least one assignment because of me, though. We don't really have many assignments in general, so if there is ONE zero, then that will be very unfortunate. Plus, since it's the ROUGH DRAFT, it might be more than 5 points like all the other assignments. I emailed her to ask whether or not I have to rewrite it... I know I'm going to fail the "rough draft" and "peer review" parts... Aaaahhh... My 99.3% might not be an A any more... I have two weeks left of the 3rd quarter. This is bad. At least I didn't do this at the end of the quarter. That would be terrible.... x.x I really hope it's a solid A before the quarter ends............Noooooooo.... I hope she found it!!! I REALLY do NOT want to rewrite it, even if it means I ended English with a 90%. I HATE rewriting things!!! I hope this post doesn't delete itself.

MAO. Music. Melodramatic.
This place introduces so many odd things... And emotions, I suppose...
Today, I realized how much I missed playing the piano every day for at least an hour, or playing in an orchestra with my friends in middle school.
We had another concert today... After we were done, we came back to sit down, but we were about 10 seconds too late to go through the door before Symphony sat down, so me and two other people from my orchestra had to stand in this tiny area between one door to go into the hall and the other door to come out of it. Between the tiny slit between the doors, we saw the Symphony play so very interestingly... Katelyn and I decided that seeing those people play made us want to join the orchestra so much more. (Katelyn is also the person who Michael and I dubbed racist because she is mean to "northeastern" Koreans and the Chinese. She thought we were North Korean because we... are Asian? Or something? I don't even know... She thinks that Michael is from North Korea and wonders about other people's Korean-ness. She even used the "word" "Koreanese"... It was hilarious. She finally knows that I am Chinese and not Korean. That was the only fun part of the entire concert. She's really nice, though. Her brain is just... challenged when it comes to deciphering the types of Asians in the world.) Auditions are at the beginning of May. I need a teacher and a LOT of practice to ensure a spot. I am hoping that there is a significant fraction of seniors in that orchestra. Then, the other person who was with us, this 6th grader who goes to Swift Creek and is going to Fairview next year informed us that we are playing with Symphony in our next concert.
And then, straight after that, off to piano... Aaah... piano... My favorite =) I have no idea how I'm going to get ready for the scholarship thing. I might not go to the State Convention after all because one of the audition days is around then... Or maybe both days are close. So, it's back to music? I have to decide. Math is so fun, but I probably have two competitions left this year. The next one is coming up in six days... Six terrifying days.
Well, after the first piece that Symphony performed, we quickly entered the hall to sit down where were supposed to be after we were done playing. And guess who was in front of my sight on the stage the whole time because he is the outside player in the last row in his section... Who else?
I miss my piano even though it is in our house. I blame it on history homework. I really can't wait until I finally FINISH the class!!!

But he's so....
To Meinuo:
Please don't worry about those other people!!!! I hope you overcome the whole thing! And that's asking a lot, and it's probably really hard for you, but the safest option would be to stop it. But people aren't made like that :) They can't control their feelings.. -sigh- But I know you're a WONDERFUL person because you wouldn't be like this unless it was your heart (or the amygdala in your brain.. LOL) that put you there in the place. So remember that you are a good person because this is only happening because of that. Okay? I can't tell you to stop worrying about HIM because it's inevitable, but I hope this paragraph made you feel a little better!
So... My mom wants me to audition for Symphony in May... Think I can make it? Probably not. It requires practicing and learning and all that... stuff. Fun.
I just found out that I have to do vocabulary cards for the entire chapter that I outlined for science. It makes me mad. MORE work to do???? I already have hours-worth of history tomorrow. Not that I didn't have PLENTY of history today. I can't wait for when I'm done in April (I think)!!!! I will be SOO happy!!!!!!!
Diana and I were discussing how many Chinese people are within walking distance of our homes. Pretty much all the Chinese people are around us. There are barely over 40 Asians at CHS. Isn't that sad? There are over 400 at WHS... :( And then we talked about how easy it would be for them to walk over to OUR houses... In the summer or something.. cough cough...

Muggy and hot; unbearable.
The ironically cloudy Tallahassee weather has started to seep into the weather forecast.
Why do weather websites always take so long to load? I'm trying to load one as I type.
Someone told me that good old Madison is being weird again. Apparently, there's a lot of snow, but it rained, so now, there are potential flooding problems. I miss that fun weather...
I was being serious.
Today, I found out that my "stalking" abilities are proving to be effective. I have successfully found where Diana lived in NJ, and might have found the city in NY where she lived.
But talking about weather is boring. It's what random people do when they have nothing better to mention. Well, apparenltly, the computer thinks it's too difficult to leave a weather website, too.
I'm trying NOAA now. I used to have it bookmarked, but one lucky day, it stopped loading. YES! It finally worked again. I'm glad. I haven't checked the weather for weeks because I got so frustrated. I like this site more than others such as Weather.com, Yahoo.com, and CNN.com (even though I've never been there) because the page generally doesn't take too long to load since there isn't much stuff there.
Oh good. The highs over the next few days are in the 60s. I think that just made my evening. I don't know what the high was today (which makes me feel unfortunate because I always want to know what the high was but they never show it because they have OCD and update their information more often than my brother annoys me, which is a lot, I tell you), but if felt like about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This would make sense because it currently "feels like" 70 degrees and it's been a few hours since the afternoon.
I can't believe I just wrote an entire entry on weather. I must have no life.
But I suppose I usually talk about random things.
Like how I haven't sold a single Chilis Breakfast ticket for our math club and we have until next Monday... LoL.. Our TSYO concert is this weekend. People who have nothing to better to do on Sunday afternoon- go.
This still applies if you are a thousand miles away from me because it would be fun to see you again.
Southern dialect: 'nd ahh hwish y'all'l haff fon en thuh state tha' duzin' haff peeple speekin' laak dis. (Proper Wisconsinite translation: If you understood that Southern sentence and didn't find it frustratingly annoying, then I pity you. Wisconsin is the best state in the country. And I hope all of you have fun in the state that doesn't have people speaking like this.)

FCAT Week
FCAT... A standardized test that is required according to the Sunshine State Standards. Also a test that the teachers want to kill.
And burn.
And rip apart.
For the poor kids who are at the line between fail/not failing, this is everything to them. It's the factor between if they are held back.
Except... If you DO fail it... Well... Maybe you NEED to be held back.
So it's good.
Right?
Wrong.
If you get really sick and can't make it to school, then you might "fail" it.
If ONE PERSON'S cell phone makes noises during the test, then the ENTIRE class is disqualified.
ONE PERSON.
Uggggh.......
Two+ hours of boring passages.
The only passage that people liked was "Spelling Yiff-niff". Which was disappointing because they never told you how it's spelled. I know it's not a world, but still.
Hey, guess what... I'm on the FRENCH REVOLUTION in history!
It's sooo boring. The people here love making fun of the French because they never won any wars and yada yada yada.
I just find them boring because it's my history homework, so that's my job.
Don't you just rejoice in finding out that a creepy person lives less than two blocks away from you and that s/he could easily walk over to your house, walk along the side of your house, turn into your backyard, look into the nearest window, knock on it, and find themselves looking into your room as you do your homework, solve your Rubik's Cube, or work on your grenades? I personally find that scary. Not the grenade part, though.

ATTN: People who leave comments
Please tell me who you are when you leave a comment. You may use a "code" name, as long as I know who is using the name.
This is because sometimes, I want to reply to your comment. But I can't do this if I don't know who you are.
If you don't want other people to know who it is, then just email me.
If you are reading this blog and do not have my email address, then chances are, you should not be reading it.
If you should be reading it, then you can always ask me or someone else who happens to know it.
And finally, if you don't want me to know who you are, and you still want to leave a comment, then just use your good judgement to decide whether you want to actually leave one, because sometimes, I will stop at nothing to figure out who it is. By then, if you lie to me, then you might regret it. This especially goes to the people who actually (and unfortunately) go to my school.
Sorry for the inconvenience!!!
And I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Cramming is the only option.
Our sponsor got pretty mad because the entire school practically died during the last math competition. None of our teams placed, and sweepstakes was "unheard-of". So, in two weeks, we have to get ourselves back together and dominate at the Regional, which actually takes place at OUR school, so "there will be no excuses" because we don't have to be there until after 8:30, and we'll be in our own "environment".
Then, two weeks after that, we are supposed to go back to Buchholz and get first place sweepstakes at the "UF" Invitational, hosted by Nu Alpha Theta.
We'll see how that goes...
Back in December, I used about one and a half weeks to add most of the Algebra II concepts in our textbooks to my brain. Now, everyone knows all of the concepts. At this point, it's really more about knowing exactly what you're doing, using your time efficiently, not making ANY mistakes, and being more intelligent than any other fortunate mathematician. Of course, knowing more tricks always helps too.
Basically, if this weekend hadn't happened, most of us would be a lot happier.
For me, the discomforting part of the trip was not the competition, even though I failed miserably, disproving my chance of actually being good at MAO. I didn't even get 36th place. I don't know what I got, though, and I honestly do not want to know.
I ended up learning a lot more about everyone else in the process of two 6-hour car rides and an endless, detailed conversation with Diana until around 1:30 in the morning the day before the competition. We decided that our immediate world is a very scary place[, and especially mine..].
As of yesterday, I am officially in the Gifted program! Too bad... I didn't acquire any magically Gifted prowess.

Life-enriching Experiences
Walter labeled the second one that after I told him about it.
1) I found out what a certain thing is that certain people use in certain situations, thanks to William, who was nice enough to expose me to the scary outside world.
2) I was recommended by a person on the internet who said that his friend needs a girlfriend. They live in OHIO! >.<

AAAAAAAHHH!!!
Oh no...
I haven't studied...
I'm scared!
WE'RE LEAVING FOR TAMPA ON FRIDAY AFTER SECOND PERIOD AND NOT COMING BACK UNTIL SATURDAY NIGHT!
I'm really excited, but really nervous.
Because this is my chance to "prove" that I belong on team one.
Which isn't happening if I have to do math.
Which is kind of important, considering how the whole thing is about math.
If I had to decide, I'd want it to come, though, since I'm so tired of normal school and stuff.
As of today, I am OFFICALLY finished with semester one of World History! My teacher sent me a Hallmark E-card congratulating me. It made my day so very interesting.
