Rosemary Beach

We went to the gulf today until around noon, walked back to the condo-thingy, took showers, had lunch, drove west towards Destin, went back when we were 12 miles away, and ended up feeling quite tired. My brother is currently watching some sort of "Lilo & Stitch" TV show on Toon Disney or whatever it's called. The front gate is painted very communistically red, which was a good welcome when we arrived yesterday. There isn't much to do right now and I'm running out of things to type. There is currently a fat, red-eyed bunny on TV. It has a purple tongue. I don't think it's very good at English. It isn't as bad at English as Ally and Luke, though, because according to the MVC, they need help in that vital subject. Now, there's this yellow, less-menacing version of Stitch who probably isn't Stitch. So queer... The weird bunny has a red cape with a yellow "H" hanging from the front. At least he's communist. I would hope the bunny weren't a "she". Unfortunately, Lilo's house is blue with an orange-ish roof. The large-ish male alien is wearing a blue dress. It is pretty scary. The other male alien with one eye has a red dress. I probably shouldn't continue describing this weird show (for children). Wow. Lilo just turned into "a teenager". I suppose the title of this post isn't extremely accurate at this point.

You never know when I might leave...

I'm currently staying at Rosemary Beach in a million-dollar apartment in a building with a small swimming pool on the roof. My parents and brother just came back from watching my brother swim. Argh gtg.

Blackmail

My MVC was photographed (by me) while wearing a pink shower cap, a hot pink "Birthday Girl" ribbon, a crate with three pink Breast Cancer Foundation tennis balls, and holding the container. His surprise party went much better than expected. My poor cousin was the only Class of '11 person because the others had gone on vacation and my VP wasn't in a very good mood, but all of us had a wonderful time. I played Guitar Hero II for the first time in my life. It wasn't as exciting as DDR, but looked like something that can entertain people for hours if they like guitars. I'm off to send an interesting email.

My brothers

One lead Jack, Ryan and me to three conclusions. I won't list them here because blogs aren't exactly confidential. The other one was asked by me if he's asexual and he said "I don't know" and "probably". Thank goodness neither were my Chinese brother.
I still have to practice the piano. I have lessons tonight and I don't think I learned much over the week. What a waste of money. I feel terrible. It's really hilarious talking to my American/German/Italian brother and American/French/English father figure on Gmail Chat at the same time, though.

We need plates.

Today, Katelyn informed me of some plans regarding one of my brothers. She and Chanyang had wanted something to happen. I called everyone except June and Chanyang about it. So far, three people have said yes- Ryan, June, and David. Most of it has gone well, but I'm still amazed at the lengths I will go to help my friends. I spoke to my MVC's favorite guy, whose voice sounded weird on the phone.
Today, I added the "Heritage" app. I convinced Katelyn to add "Chinese" to her heritage. Ryan said in his ethnic dishes that he eats "Chinese food, pizza, chimichangas". I had to find out what the last one was by Googling it. I highly doubt the Chinese food he's talking about is genuine Chinese food, but that's okay. At least it's "Chinese".
And no, I think we have enough plates. I just needed a title. We actually need food.
You know what I mean.

228 posts later,

I just copy/pasted 228 posts onto an MS Word document so I could have another copy of all of these posts. It worries me that one day Blogger will shut down or something and I won't have time to keep what I wrote. It's amazing how much I've typed during 9th grade. I told my third completed journal as of yesterday that I'm keeping a journal and a blog, but I don't have an empty journal right now and I think blogs work much better. Typing is immensely faster and my friends can read this whenever they are online. I regret not typing much this summer so far, but there isn't that much to say.

I wrote this yesterday.

Today, my MVC declared that my HOUSE must be pregnant and gave birth to my MVC. He also said that perhaps the HOUSE married Bill O’Reilly. He became dead to the HOUSE. Then, my MVC declared that he would never get married. Later, he said that he doesn’t have a girlfriend and didn’t miss anyone while on vacation in Peru. This made his girlfriend call him cold after I forwarded the email to her. Then, as I called my VP to say “Happy Birthday!” someone in the background sang the song very loudly. I asked him if they were Asian and he said now. Then, after more noise in the background, my VP firmly said, “It’s not my mom!!” after some murmurs in the background. I heard something about “related” and said “I’m related to you!” Because I am. The CEO, VP and MVC are all siblings. Then, I picked up the words “your girlfriend” and some giggling. He said “WHAT?” I said “UM OKAY BYE!” and that was the end of the awkward phone call. My MVC was online at the moment, so I told him about it. I asked him why I’m always paired with Asian guys who are my age. And then… I remembered that I’m sometimes not paired with Asian guys my age. (COUGH COUGH WILLIAM PAIRED ME UP WITH _________ COUGH COUGH.) Being a very loyal and supportive employee, my MVC said “close enough”. On the bright side, he actually called me young for once. But this is not the moment to be optimistic. Many things happened today considering how the people involved barely left the house.

我在想念別的州

Exactly a year ago, my parents were in FL for the house inspection. My brother and I stayed at Aaron's house and we pretty much spent the whole day with him and his brother. On July 4th, there was a parade that went from somewhere in Hill Farms to Rennebohm Park. I biked there and found Maia, who later found Claire. We had an interesting time at the park, where lunch was served to everyone who had anything to do with the parade. My brother was in it with Aaron's brother, I think. Claire's brother, Dylan was with Aaron at the park. I went to Maia's house after that and we played Mario Kart: Double Dash on her GameCube. Those few days were pretty awesome because it was probably the last time I did anything out of the ordinary before I moved away less than a month later. The night before we left, I went to Julia's house and Aaron's house for dinner. Rose came to give me Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, a game I never finished, and completely refused to not give me a good-bye present. She stayed with us and we played card games until we had to leave. On the way home (we walked), my parents, brother and I stopped at Shanmin's house to say goodbye, too. They promised to come and visit us during the winter. And the next day, we went to a really boring building in which legal papers were passed on to the family who was buying our house. We drove to McDonald's for lunch and I don't know why. To do this, we went in the opposite direction and passed by our house for the last time. And then, after a boring trip through Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia, we finally arrived in Tallahassee. CHS was the first "landmark" I saw in Tallahassee. That was August 1, 2006.

钢琴. 在 佛羅里達...

I probably can't live without it. Some time before 8th grade, I went for about a month(or three weeks or something measly like that) and I felt a bit depressed and horrid. But I never play enough every day. Sometimes, I play for about 20 minutes, abandon it, and think I'm going to go back later. Then, I forget about it because I'm busy being bored and the day ends with no accomplishment.
During the school year, every day is the same, unfortunate reminder of where I'm spending the last few years of my childhood. And if I don't perform well in unbearable conditions, then I won't be able to move to somewhere I actually want to live.

Tiny Subtle Hints

I finished reading CIG: Internet Privacy and Security. Throughout the chapters, some things were repeated so you could understand everything without having to read them in numerical order or any order at all. This got a bit annoying. Also, it was written in 1991 so much of it has changed by now. Fortunately, it provided many subtle hints as to how hackers can get into your computer. They were vaguely mentioned but sounded as if it were trying to point you in the correct detention for illegal activity. A sort of transparent bug was mentioned that is in the form of a very tiny GIF image that you can't really see when going on a webpage. A "backdoor" to internet networks that hackers use was also repeated once or twice. And then, there were a list of webpages that you should contact to ask for your information to be taken away if you feel like it, but they were technically lists of resources for stalkers. They weren't exactly amazingly useful resources, but they were there. I didn't learn much from the book and I'm not hinting that I already know how to maneuver myself into your computer.
The book's copyright date clearly indicated that it was too outdated to help me stalk. ;)
I'm kidding.
I almost forgot.
And in honor of this special day(I do not take credit for this picture):

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Internet Privacy and Security

I was looking at the table of computer bargain books at Books-a-Million, which is a store I've visited twice altogether. I'm on page 63 now which probably isn't a helpful fact since I'm not going to bother checking the total number of pages and edit my current page number according to the extra pages in the book. It's not bad for something directed towards people who don't know anything about the internet. There's still things to learn.
I completely forgot to watch the Wimbledon today. It's so annoying with dial-up when you realize that all these important websites are so complicated that it takes forever to load. (www.wimbledon.org)I don't usually watch important tennis matches but it would've been something interesting to do during the long, uneventful day that was unfortunately interrupted with a dentist appointment. But without that appointment, I wouldn't've found a nice book to buy and a Spanish joke book that teaches you extra vocabulary and also has the jokes in English. There's a cartoon on each page with something written underneath it. Fortunately, I already knew the vocabulary at the beginning of the book that you're supposed to know before you go off and learn more. This probably seems like a completely mundane way to learn Spanish but I wasn't planning on doing anything extra over the summer but I know I'll need a little vocab boost if I want to take AP in the future. Not that we(meaning people at this school) have good chances of passing.

Comparing Pictures

It's so depressing because almost every day within the past week, it's been really cloudy and miserable during the evenings and you can hear a lot of thunder. Finally, today, it's raining! It wasn't when I started this post. I'm really glad because I don't have to water the lawn today.
In Hefei, my mom and brother went on this little roller coaster and today, two students (probably college students considering how the article had worded it in Chinese) fell 10 meters where it had broken while on the exact ride. One of them was injured and the other died. There are pictures online in the article and I have pictures of my mom and brother riding it, which makes it even creepier.
Here is the picture I took:

And here is one of the two pictures in the article today from www.wenxuecity.com:
