-realized I didn't know 99% of the functions of my new graphing calculator but didn't care
-waited until around 1:00pm to actually write my essay
-read the next assignment and knew I could finish it today
-realized that it isn't a good idea to cram in 13 Shakespeare lines.
-found out I have three weeks to memorize and perfect my Chopin Etude even though I'm still in the process of perfecting the notes
-decided not the charge my mp3 player
-didn't exercise much this weekend. There are no places to bike...
-waited until now to post on this blog. Not so I could write this, either. I think I just forgot about it.

5 paragraph essay
I have to write one. I was supposed to do it today, but I kind of slacked off and only did one assignment...
I got a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition! My first graphing calculator ever. I'm pretty late by Tallahassee standards. Everyone else got theirs in middle school... I don't see why you'd need on in Algebra I or Geometry, though.
I almost want to go back to school because weekends are so boring. At least I'd get to see my friends AND do homework. But I'll have lots more homework with school.
I found a poem for Poetry Out Loud. I don't know if my English teacher will let me chose it. It's not very long, but I didn't think length was a factor for how she's grading us. I haven't finished memorizing Shakespeare, though. I've only memorized about four lines... Yes, I'm procrastinating. I get it from my old younger bro.
Here's the poem. It makes me really sad:
Ways of Talking
BY HA JIN
We used to like talking about grief
Our journals and letters were packed
with losses, complaints, and sorrows.
Even if there was no grief
we wouldn’t stop lamenting
as though longing for the charm
of a distressed face.
Then we couldn’t help expressing grief
So many things descended without warning:
labor wasted, loves lost, houses gone,
marriages broken, friends estranged,
ambitions worn away by immediate needs.
Words lined up in our throats
for a good whining.
Grief seemed like an endless river—
the only immortal flow of life.
After losing a land and then giving up a tongue,
we stopped talking of grief
Smiles began to brighten our faces.
We laugh a lot, at our own mess.
Things become beautiful,
even hailstones in the strawberry fields.

I'm slower than before not that it's possible...
I mean, you can only get so infinitely stupid.
So- about that R&J scene... I read it carefully and Lord Capulet hasn't found out that Juliet doesn't want to marry Paris. Oops. So I won't be yelling. I will be speaking in Old English, saying, "I know my nephew died but my daughter sure is crying a lot." Except with 13 lines.
III.v.130-142
When the sun sets, the air doth drizzle dew;
But for the sunset of my brother's son
It rains downright.
How now! A conduit, girl? What, still in tears?
Evermore showering? In one little body
Thou conterfeit'st a bark, a sea, a wind;
For still thy eyes, which I may call the sea,
Do ebb and flow with tears; the bark thy body is,
Sailing in this salt flood; the winds, thy sighs;
Who, raging with thy tears, and they with them,
Without a sudden calm, will overset
Thy tempest-tossed body. How now, wife!
Have you deliver'd to her our decree?

I say I have too much work.
The "to do" list is far too long to type here.
In English, we're reading The Lord of the Flies. It is so weird. There are no girls in it.
I "get to" play Capulet for a few minutes. I have to memorize at least 12 lines. I must also yell at Juliet. In the beginning of that scene, it is the "no, it's a nightingale" and "no, it's a lark" scene. That's the one my friend and the drafted drug lord are doing together. She gets to tell him that she wants him to stay longer.
If you haven't noticed yet, I'm talking about "Romeo & Juliet".
Off to do homework...

i realize i'm "triple-posting" today
I also realize that my grades are pretty low for 2nd quarter because I slacked off, but oh well.
In Science today, someone very annoying found out that I'm an Atheist. He said, "So you don't believe in God?" in a VERY shocked voice. His eyes opened up and he just started at me for a few seconds. Then, Megan was like, "Yeah, that's what Atheist means." and she was really nice and defended me. The guy was like, "Why don't you believe in GOD?" and then turned around again for a while. I think I ruined his life for a brief moment. I guess it's unfathomable for him. If I did, I would find it hard to imagine, too. I live the life of the cold, hard truth.
Off to practice the violin for the first time in... I forgot when I last really practiced violin. Oh no.

HW finished 7:47pm
It's fascinating because I think I was near "efficient" today. I won't finish my FLVS homework until April, though.
I will be in Gifted after about six weeks because of the whole "process" but I'm in Mr. F's class for 2nd period (along with Jack :) even if they don't let me switch classes. Mr. S will get my grade for each quarter if that is the case. I finished our "packet" (three assignments due next Thursday) today because during winter break I did all the independent study homework which was almost all the textbook homework. And I did most of the "Factoring" worksheet at school.
I'm so excited! Orchestra starts tomorrow! I must go and practice bowing... I think I forgot how >.<

two DOUBLE-OH-SEVEN!
I lived in England. "James Bond: 007" was very popular. So was Elton John. I don't think I've seen an entire James Bond movie, though.
Anyways, I finished the 03.03 Assignment!!!! I think it took me almost three hours. I'm so proud. I have yet to turn it in, though.
School starts tomorrow. We had two weeks of Winter "Break". Well, for Diana and me, it wasn't much of a break, but it was more of a break for her. She got to visit Van Gogh. No fair. I had to do the stupid History assignment.
So yeah, I finally found a convenient formula for the distance between a point and a (linear) line. I'm really mad because I could've done better at the Rickards Preseasonal if I'd known this formula because I don't think I got all the problems with this thing correct. Oh well. Too late. I just have to memorize it. I also finally memorized Heron's Formula. I'm so slow. I should've known it in 8th grade. I also forgot all my Trigonometry that I learned in 8th grade. I never learned how to prove the Law of Cosines... But I proved the Law of Sines and the Pythagorean Identity and this one other thing but I all most of it. I miss 8th grade math so much. Almost all my friends were in that class. It was awesome.

diameter of an individual pizza=2i
Can the diameter of a pizza be an imaginary number? 0.0
I hope not. Because then even Jack might not be able to eat it.
I must've done something wrong... The diameter can't be two inches, can it?
Weird...
(p. 404 #28c.)
I actually kind of want to go back to school. Because it will mean seeing everyone and also having normal homework not that I won't have weird homework anymore. Also, it will mean actually studying MAO and working harder than ever. I guess I'm just tired of this break. It's nice but it really isn't a break. It's more like a time to catch up on the Independent Studies people by doing math homework all day. And trying to decide between Aristotle and Socrates. I think I chose Aristotle. I haven't started, though. I chose him because he had more information and since he studied different topics in life, it's probably easier to make a PowerPoint presentation on him. About that presentation... I have tomorrow to start and finish unless I want to drag it out to the end of the week and then I'll be behind and I'll have to go to school at the same time. I have to do Ch. 7's review and test for math because it will be a good idea, so I might not get to work on the presentation today.

2007 Year of the Pig :O
As everyone across the Eastern Time Zone was counting down to New Years, everyone at my house was asleep -.-
I decided to check my email about ten minutes before, and while replying to my last email, I missed the countdown and was instead typing randomly...
What an interesting New Years.
I'm almost half-way through Chapter 7. I really hope I can finish before we get back from school. And then it'll be four more chapters to go... It seems so endless... Like a y=(a constant) line... Lol.
Holiday (Green Day)
This one's a bit more violent ^^.
Lyrics:
Say, hey!
Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!)
The shame
The ones who died without a name
Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called "Faith and Misery" (Hey!)
And bleed, the company lost the war today
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday
Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protester has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money's on the other side
Can I get another Amen? (Amen!)
There's a flag wrapped around a score of men (Hey!)
A gag, a plastic bag on a monument
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday
(Hey!)
(Say, hey!)
(3,4)
"The representative from California has the floor"
Sieg Heil to the president Gasman
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel towers
Who criticize your government
Bang bang goes the broken glass and
Kill all the f-gs that don't agree
Trials by fire, setting fire
Is not a way that's meant for me
Just cause, just cause, because we're outlaws yeah!
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
This is our lives on holiday
